M. P. EVANS GROUP PLC
("THE GROUP")
PUBLICATION OF TCFD REPORT
M.P. Evans Group PLC, a producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil, is pleased to announce that it has published its first Group report based on the guidelines of the Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (the "TCFD").
The report sets out the Group's governance arrangements for monitoring and managing climate-related risks, along with strategic and risk-management responses. It also measures the Group's total greenhouse-gas emissions, expressed in tonnes of CO2 equivalents, for both 2021, the Group's baseline year, and for 2022. Total emissions reduced by 12% from 2021 to 2022 as the Group continues to invest in environmentally efficient palm-oil mills. The report also sets out the Group's nearer-term and long-term targets for carbon reduction as it works towards net zero.
A separate report on wider environmental, social and governance matters is planned for publication later in 2023.
A copy of the TCFD report is available for download from the sustainability section of the Group website (mpevans.co.uk/sustainability/sustainability-reports), and the Group has a limited number of printed copies available, which can be requested from the head office (enquiries@mpevans.co.uk).
